Boxed up, put away
out of your line of vision
easily forgetting what was
hidden from view and why,
a lingering shadow waits for
the moment to come alive.

I saw her at the
Crossroads, black dog at her heel
A torch in her hand
Another drink, a day gone
Torch burning in the darkness
Boxed up, put away
out of your line of vision
easily forgetting what was
hidden from view and why,
a lingering shadow waits for
the moment to come alive.
